The things they say

Hudson told me the other day that Carter, who just turned one, will be two and three one day and then he'll be able to be ride around in a booster one day, and then one day he'll get married, like when he's ten, so he could ride in the front.

Hudson came up to me, and telling me in a low voice, looking around so daddy couldn't hear, "Daddy is having a really hard time learning, huh?", regarding daddy learning how to ride a bike.

It's official!

I have received my grades and am officially finished with school! I cannot wait to have that diploma!

All the kids loved the fireworks show yesterday. Carter stayed up for the whole thing, which Hudson didn't do when he was almost one. Avery gave daddy some sweet loving.

Carter has learned to walk up the stairs. He made it to the 1/2 way landing! I cannot believe he's going to be 1 on the 16th! It went so fast.

Come see Avery sing

Avery sings Popular from the Broadway show Wicked!

Avery sings for you!

awe, man, it doesn't show the whole thing! The end is the cutest! Sorry.

Monday Blues

I haven't written for awhile, because I've been busy catching up and finishing up my homework for my Master's Degree. Today, referring to the blues, is the good kind of blues. I have no reading, no dicussions, no responses, no group work, no homework, and no research to complete. Yesterday I finished by turning in my final portfolio. Then I turned to Rob and said, "Well, that's anticlimatic!" Which is what he said to me when he finished his a few months back! So, today, I just don't know what to do with myself. Yeah, I've got a lot of things to do, but I'll take it easy for a day or two. I deserve it!
Rob and I owed the kids a movie, Shrek the Third, so we went to the early show. Spending the morning with the whole family was actually the best way to relax and celebrate!

Family matters

Be sure to check out our website, kittrellkronicles.com, if you haven't already!

Carter is trying to crawl the "normal" way, but isn't really making the connection all the time. I think he just knows it's quicker to army crawl/swim! =)

Rob brought home my Mother's Day dinner and had to make it tonight! Butcher Boys' burgandy tri-tip. YUMMM. I didn't mind eatting it two days early. Poor Hudson didn't want to, though, "It's NOT today!". Hudson is trying to not give me his gift early, this wasn't helping. But, he's a good secret keeper, and is still hiding my gift (behind his backpack!).

Tomorrow we're going to take the kids to mini-golf, if they don't get any time outs. We were supposed to go tonight, but they both got one yesterday so they had to start over. I hope they don't get one, because I'm so excited to be going to do something together as a family.

I just started my last two classes for my Master's program. I couldn't think about it lasting 16 more weeks, so I doubled up and now only have 8 weeks. 8 very long weeks with A LOT of work, but in 8 weeks I will be finished and will be free to have the summer with my children! Pray for the sanity and the cleanliness (lack thereof) of our home for the next two months!

I've got only 9 days left of teaching for this school year, plus one teacher day. My dad is very excited! He's already planning to take a vacation to Las Vegas when he's finished babysitting. Rob and I are so blessed, words could NEVER say what it means to have him watching over my children. The best I can do- Carter says Papa, and not much of Dada! My children LOVE him so much, I hope Papa knows that is my best way to say thank you.

Hudson

He is finally playing t-ball. Daddy is the coach, although, up until today daddy was also the head coach for SHS. Today was their last game (they won both games!) and now daddy is excited to make all the games for Hudson. Rob has been waiting all his life for this. You all know this is the only reason why he married and had kids, right?
